High School Equivalency

The New Jersey State Department of Education (NJDOE) privatized the high school equivalency exam in January 2014. During this transition, the NJDOE informed test centers that New Jersey residents that did not successfully pass one or all sections of the GED exam prior to December 31, 2013 forfeit their scores. The new exam covers Math, Writing, Science, Social Studies and Reading and initially costs $92.00. It’s suggested that test takers study prior to registering for the exam due to the comprehensive subject content and increased costs. Test takers may prepare for the test, at no cost by visiting their local One Stop Career Centers located in Hammonton, Pleasantville and Wildwood.
