Find a job, go back to school, get a GED and explore career opportunities at the YouthWORKS Career Center located at 45 S. Washington Avenue in downtown Pleasantville. The center provides career guidance and job search assistance to young adults ages 14 to 21. Hours of operation are Mondays through Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  2. Computer Labs for Job Search Assistance, Activities and College Applications
  3. Casino Licensing (license fee waivers available to those eligible)   
  4. Support Services and Referrals for GED Test Preparation, Free Training Programs and Public Assistance.
  5. Workshops on How to Write a Resume, Interview for a Job, Dress for Success and on Character Building

Join a JOB CLUB
The Job Club meets every Thursday 3:00 p.m. at the YouthWORKS Career Center. It’s free and anyone may attend. Bring friends and hang out. Learn about job opportunities available in the community and how to prepare for a job interview.

Youth Over 21

Over 21 years of age? The New Jersey Youth Corps program is a statewide initiative to assist out-of-school youth ages 16 to 25 that need to complete their high school education, gain necessary work skills for employment, increase their academic performance levels and want to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others in the community. Parents, Educators and Counselors

Services and programs are provided to increase the job skills and employability of young adults ages 14 –21. Services are available at no cost through a grant from the New Jersey State Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Employment Specialists are available to meet with young adults to discuss career goals and help them find summer, part-time or full-time jobs based on their abilities and availability. Walk-ins are always welcomed. Groups are welcome by appointment.

Workshops…
Available in Character Building, Student Achievement, Work Readiness, Write a Resume, Interview for a Job, Dress for Success or Casino Licensing. Workshops may be conducted on-site or off-site based on the availability of staff.

Job Fairs…
The center holds mini-jobs fairs on an annual to bi-annual basis. Check back frequently for updates by visiting the Calendar.
